Build a better litter

"Swheat Scoop litter is made from naturally processed wheat, which means it’s clay free, chemical free, fragrance free and biodegradable." According to their website, this stuff naturally eliminates odors, clumps well, throws less dust everywhere, and is safe for sewers, septics, and composting. I will definately be looking into this for my own cat's poop needs.

How to lose weight by just WATCHING A MOVIE

Here's a novel idea - pay $50 to David Butcher to buy his plans for a stationary bike. This bike can then be plugged into your television and...you will provide the electrical power! Mwa-ha-ha-ha - the POWER!!!!!

Heh Heh. I love this thing. He says on his website (which also has cool vids of him actually pedaling it) that it costs about $230 for the parts - less if you use stuff you found in a junkyard.

So instead of paying $300 for 6 months of a gym membership, you can pay it to have a gym at home that powers other things in your house.

Awwwwesome!

Classic with a twist

I'm a big fan of hemp - easier and more economical to grow than cotton and more versitile to boot. Stick around and you'll see for yourself as I dig up pointers to hemp products wherever I can find them. Starting us off, a classic shoe from Converse gets a makeover with hemp uppers. Want 'em even greener? Here's a very similar looking shoe from No Sweat - not only hemp, but organic hemp. (Also 100% vegan and not made in a sweatshop, FWIW.)

Solar beer

Here's one way that we can all do our part to help the environment. If you must drink, drink solar beer. Any readers who've actually tried this brand, we here at Get Greener would love to hear your opinions.

According to the website, as of February 6th half of the power needed to run this brewery comes from a solar panel array on the roof. They also have an 18-hole disc golf course. Woot!

This has been the first post of Get Greener - and abptly we post on St. Patrick's eve.
